The Magic Force We Cannot See

We live in a world full of invisible forces and one of the most interesting is the wind and how it moves around us every day.

Wind begins with the sun warms the earth it doesn’t heat everything equally some places get hotter while others stay cooler and that makes the air move.
Warm air rises because it becomes lighter and cooler air moves in to take its place.

That movement is what we feel as wind.
We can explore wind when we fly a kite or blow bubbles or spin a pinwheel we are seeing how air moves and carries energy.
Even though we can’t see wind itself we can always see what it does.

Scientists study the wind to understand weather and climate.
By watching how air moves across the planet they can predict storms and find patterns or even help airplanes travel safely.

Wind also gives us clean energy when we use wind turbines to make electricity.
So at the next time we hear the wind whistling through trees or watch clouds race across the sky we can think about how this invisible force shapes our world.

Cools us on warm days, spreads seeds for plants and reminds us that even this thing that we cannot see have a great power and purpose.
